FOOD
Nutritious and hygienically prepared food is available with a freshly run Indian kitchen preparing food at moderate prices. Special canteens are available for international students serving a variety of food for all tastes. Chinese cuisine there is not difficult to adapt to international students.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN SOUTHERN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
SMU has English as the primary language of teaching. Chinese language is compulsory for 1 year and may also extend. Chinese Students are used to teaching English while foreign students are taught Mandarin Chinese at the elementary level.
ELIGIBILITY
- Students must have more than 60% marks in 12th standard.
- The student must have NEET qualification with above 55% in PCB in 10+2, otherwise, he\she won’t be eligible to apply for it.
- In the case of Humanities and other subjects like Law, Engineering, etc, there are various entrance tests conducted online, and qualifying them is the only way to help get enrolled.
- The age of a student or applicant must be more than 17 years and less than 25 years.
- A student must have chemistry, physics, and Biology as the main subject in 12th standard.
DEGREE
SMU offers different courses in clinical medicine for Bachelors’s, Master’s, and doctoral degree programs. Other courses like nursing, pharmacological courses in Chinese medicine. University is recognized by the World Health Organization. The college is under the provincial government of Guangdong and is also listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED).
After completing MBBS students can pursue an internship either in the university or in their home country. The University is serving 15,000 students. A hostel facility is also available for the students.
