Wangjiang campus is the oldest campus and the location of this campus lies to the opposite of the Jingang River in Central Chengdu, another campus located in the city is the Huaxi Campus.
Jiang’s campus is in Shuangliu and is at a distance of 12Km from the other campuses. This campus was constructed in the year 2003 and students love residing on this campus.

LOCATION & WEATHER
The weather remains humid, low, and high. The place is very beautiful with greenery all over. In the whole year, Chengdu Weather remains mild, humid.
The four seasons are seen, the short and warm spring, and the long summer season.
The rainy season and the cool foggy winter is enjoyed by the people there. Tourists come from different places to visit here and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.
Everyday sunlight for a few hours is enjoyed but the summer is hotter.
HOW TO REACH SICHUAN UNIVERSITY
The bus services from one campus to another are available. Inter-Buses from Wangjiang, Huaxi and Jiang are available. There are some fixed timings for buses.
The staff members and the students can take these buses to commute to the campuses.
FOOD
Chengdu is famous for its delicious food. The University offers delicious food to its students. Indian students get the privilege to enjoy delicious food.
There are different food courts for the students and the canteen is available for them to spend some leisure time.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN SICHUAN UNIVERSITY
English language is the only medium of instruction there, because the subjects like medical science, philosophy, humanities and other science, computer related and engineering subjects can’t be taught in other languages keeping in view the ranking of the university.
Also, there are a few departments which deal with different languages and literatures and the English language can’t be an appropriate medium for them to instruct or study, etc.
ELIGIBILITY
- Students must have more than 60% marks in 12th standard.
- The student must have NEET qualification with above 55% in PCB in 10+2, otherwise, he\she won’t be eligible to apply for it.
- In the case of Humanities and other subjects like Law, Engineering, etc, there are various entrance tests conducted online, and qualifying them is the only way to help get enrolled.
- The age of a student or applicant must be more than 17 years and less than 25 years.
- A student must have chemistry, physics, and Biology as the main subject in 12th standard.
DEGREE
This university holds 500-degree courses. The Sichuan university has achieved a wide reputation by excelling in 31 faculties.
