LOCATION & WEATHER

The Academy is located in the capital city of Bishkek and is centrally located with all the major roads leading up to the university. The exact location of the academy is 92 Akhunbaev Street, Bishkek of Kyrgyz Republic and is almost 32 km away from the main airport of Kyrgyzstan, which is the Manas International airport.

As for the weather, summers are sunny and humid, while winters tend to be harsh and dry. The frigid winters won’t be a worry as you can rely on the infrastructure of the hostels of the academy, which have been provided to take utmost care of the international students who are usually not accustomed to the extreme weather of Kyrgyzstan.

HOW TO REACH KYRGYZ STATE MEDICAL ACADEMY

Manas International airport is the only international airport in Kyrgyz, and you can always take any mode of transport to reach the university. On a precise note, you can cover the distance between Manas International airport and the academy in about 53 minutes as the distance that will be covered is about 32 km. You can opt for a cab as the most reliable mode of transport although other modes are available as well.

For international students, it could be confusing for the first time in the city. Still, you can avoid any sort of confusion just by doing some prior research about the location and primary landmarks of the city. Another tip to keep in mind is that always keep your phone’s location on as you can navigate your routes accordingly.

FOOD & HOSTEL FACILITY

The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy has one of the best in-house facilities, and all the international students are provided with almost all the required facilities; especially for Indian students, it is super accommodating and comfortable. Here’s a list of all the amenities that are provided to the students:

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN KYRGYZ STATE MEDICAL ACADEMY

English is a major medium of instruction and is used in office work as well. The students are made to learn the native language as well.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students must have more than 60% marks in 12th standard.
  • The student must have NEET qualification with above 55% in PCB in 10+2, otherwise, he\she won’t be eligible to apply for it.
  • In the case of Humanities and other subjects like Law, Engineering, etc, there are various entrance tests conducted online, and qualifying them is the only way to help get enrolled.
  • The age of a student or applicant must be more than 17 years and less than 25 years.
  • A student must have chemistry, physics, and Biology as the main subject in 12th standard.

DEGREE

The Academy specializes in MBBS, and hence the primary course is General Medicine M.D., which is for 6 years and includes 5 Years of MBBS along with 1 year of internship at the Academy.
