Kyrgyz Russian University is a university jointly operated by the Kyrgyz government and the Government of Russia.
For higher studies, the Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University is considered one of the best central Asian universities. The university provides about 45 different specialties in 3 different academic fields.
History of the University
The KRSU was established in the year 1992. Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was founded in 1993 following the significant Warsaw Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, which was signed on June 10, 1992, in Moscow. By February 1994, the school’s regulations were completely enshrined in both government books.

Kyrgyzstan has cold and dry weather and the mid-months of the year is often humid with night temperatures staying somewhere between 8 to 10 degree Celsius. If you wish to apply for admissions to the University, try to arrive in Kyrgyz for a recce in April, May or June. And make sure to pack up enough and thick winter clothes as the months leading to the end of the year are frigid.
As for its location, the University is located in the capital city of Bishkek and is directly connected to Manas International airport by two roads. The University is connected with all the major roads running throughout the city and adjacent cities. If you find yourself aching for some retail-therapy, you can go around the several markets or Bazaars that fall in the route to the university.
For an international student, navigating through a foreign city can be difficult if they haven’t looked up the location. The university is roughly 38 km from the Manas International airport in the capital city of Bishkek, and you can arrive there by two major roads that connect the university with the airport. The first being the Manas airport road, which will make you reach the university in about 56 minutes, and the second route is through Manas airport road via A365, which is a highway, and the distance will be covered in about 61 minutes.
Ensure that you keep your phone’s location on at all times to navigate carefully through the city.
