The North Kazakhstan State University (also known as NKSU) is a public university in Petropavlovsk, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1994 it was transformed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan into a state university based on the petrochemical research of K.D. Ushinskiy, whose Pedagogical College Petropavlovsk was named after him and whose history goes back to 1937.
